I appreciate all your help.
Problem:
When I was running Vista my onboard video card was good enough for PowerDVD 7, which is not compatible with Win 7. After installing Win 7 I upgraded to PowerDVD 9, which says it needs a more powerful graphics card than my integrated one. I presently use my motherboard's HDMI output to...

Anything out there specifically for two 3.5" IDE HDDs?
I like the idea of having external HDDs, but I don't want to have to use 2 external cases taking up 2 AC plugs and 2 USB ports... is there no solution <$80?
Turns out most of the space was being taken up by lenovo's 'Rescue and Recovery' automatic backup software that was creating a complete backup every week.
Thanks for the other suggestions, I will look into those also!
: )
I right click my C drive and it shows:
Used Space: 91.1Gb
Free Space: 15.3Gb
I opened my C drive and right clicked each of the files (hidden folders turned on), and their size sum to ~38.0Gb (meaning I should have 68.5Gb free).
I also used scanner.exe (hard drive usage scanner - info here)...

Is the 1908wfp the best document reader for the price (about $200)? It would act solely as a second monitor for viewing documents/web pages.

I'm sure this has been hashed through before, but a quick search didn't turn up anything useful.
Is there any way to easily compare relative HT clocks to FSB rates?
Thanks for your time!
When I try to watch Live TV in the Media Center, it says the Video Decoder isn't working properly (specifically, it seems the one from ATI is incompatible with WMP 10).
ATI TV works great! But no TV Guide and the scheduler seems cumbersome as compared to the integrated one in MC.

Is it possible to use my xbox 360 remote instead of my ATI remote for my ATI AIW card? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.
I'm getting a new card for my mobo (AGP slot). I like to play games like Oblivion and Half Life 2.
Presently, I'm leaning towards the card with 512mb of dggr2. What do ye sages opine?
I unzipped the files; i actually deleted the original zip file, to avoid any confusion.
Under my 'other' tab in the device manager, I'd update the drivers for the 'Ethernet' listing.
When I would choose to look in a specified place for the drivers, it would ask me for the general hardware type...
first I would like to say THANK YOU.
I did some additional searching and found that many people had run into the same problems I had, and followed links to get the 64-bit version of my nic drivers.
But
The zip file I downloaded only had a .inf and .sys file in it. Sorry for the noob...
When I had first installed the regular old x86 version of windows, I plugged in the cat-5 cable into the back of my computer (coming from a router) and...presto! I was connect to the internet.
Then I installed Windows XP x64 edition to take advantage of my AMD processor. The installation went...
The xBox 360 (premium version) comes with an HDTV cable (has the YPbPr AV Cable); my Benq PB6100 projector has many cables (S-video, video, and VGA), but the cord that fits into its HDTV slot looks like a normal VGA cable. In the projector package theres another cable that looks like a VGA...
upon replacing the motherboard (a new biostar pm800 mini-atx) I had some problems getting the cpu to work properly (it wasn't seated correctly). Before realizing the seating was my problem I had restarted the computer several times. When I did get the computer up and running, sysprep did not...
I've been looking to get soltek's EQ3401 *case only* but so far I've only found it in barebones systems. I like the look of the case, but I'd like to build the rest of the comp on my own.
I used froogle in my searches; if anyone is able to find the case by itself, I'd adpreciate it.

I already have two HDs connected to my comp; I just bought a third ide hd (and a fourth on sata is on its way); so I need to buy a pci card that has extra ide slots for my second cable to fit into?

I've looked up DVD+/-RAM and I've always seen it used as either for storage or for video only, but I never see specs on DVD burners for how fast they burn to these types of dvds.... I know the DVD RAM format is rewritable, so should I look at the rw speeds on a burner I might buy or am I...
I've read complaints about ati tool runing for a long time (honestly I'm happy that it's doing it, and it's not me having to spend eternity fiddling with numbers), but sixteen hours (and still running) seems sorta much...am I doing something wrong?

My comment about downloading Doom 3 was deleted under the guise that I was somehow talking about something illegal; this is simply not the case. It is not illegal to download software from the internet; it is, however, very illegal to upload (viewed as 'distributing') any copyrighted material...
I just ordered a different hd from that outpost site:
A 160gb WD 8mb buffer UATA for 69.99 AR ($30 rebate)
that comes to a little more than 43 cents a GB!
best deal I've seen in a while
looking at the pictures it seems as thought this case will be laying horizontally on the floor. What if you put small speakers (and or subwoofer) in those holes for fans, and position the fans on the side and top of the case. just a thought
