And just imagine how much more you'd save if it wasn't an exclusive. And both steam and epic directly compete for your dollar.
That's what the outrage is about.
After EPIC gets a bigger foothold in the market, I highly doubt they'll be giving devs a better cut of the revenue.
They're not competing for you. They're competing to eat up publisher deals for their platform only. You won't see any savings if they're all exclusives.
Anyone want to bet that as soon as EPIC believes they have decent footing in the gaming market they'll change it eg 80/20...
I doubt they care who is loyal to who, just look at metro, bribed the publisher in to an exclusive at the last minute.
What a bunch of clowns. Read today that folks were unsubscribing from the Verge, hopefully that trend continues.
Paul had a well worded reply as well
Edit GN posted on this, calls out Verge/Vox using their own words (about abusing the YT copyright takedown service of all things) against...
Your tribalism is showing.
ps "Tax" was used in the article, in case you didn't read it. So your resident leftist didn't put anything in there that wasn't in the source doc.
It's actually really fun.
There are some issues with gaming sessions but the demo is a months old version of the game. One thing they don't have but say they're looking at is adding a FOV slider. Why they didn't have that in their development is beyond me....\
Oh and text chat..
Nailed it.
This is anti-competitive. EPIC is no better than Steam. It may be $10 cheaper but because of the (probably) bribed exclusivity, you still don't have a choice.
Want offline Play? Not at EPIC.
On top of the tencent, account issues etc etc.
EPIC blew it in my opinion. I...
They probably see a future where they are no longer a preferred social media platform. Instead they're expanding their platform into comm, cloud, advertising, tracking etc
Ground based laser in congested southern California airspace. Couldn't have done this anywhere else.
"Delta 296, turn right heading 240, maintain 3,000, avoid the Facebook laser, cleared RNAV runway 27 approach"
I'm also under the impression that electric cars are also (in theory) cheaper to maintain over the thousands of miles.
Supposedly it's also to expand the supercharger framework. Investing in more travel flexibility.
Lots of options but I find it better in my setup to maintain a digital signal from a source all the way to the receiver. Chromecast audio has digital out and sounds great.
Net neutrality is dead so....
Verizon blocks Netflix. (I bet they really want to. Force their customers to use Verizon Videoz)
Remember when Verizon blocked Google wallet?
Or when AT&T blocked Apple Facetime
We're giving online strangers constant access to see into our lives by having a cloud security setup because we're concerned about the occasional visit by a IRL stranger/delivery guy.
I was initially excited about these AIO doorbell systems but once I learned they were cloud/sub required I lost...
