Can a crappy cable modem make my internet connect slow? I'm asking this because I see a bunch of companies make their own modems and the advertisements say that their modems are great and such. I am currently using the modem that my service provider gave me.

I've been looking at the 9600XT and the 9800Pro for a while now and I've figured out that the 9800Pro is the ultimate card for now and that it will destroy the 9600XT in almost anything. But my question is: whats up with the core speed and memory speeds?

i have a vantec rheobus and today i go to push the power button on my computer, as i do so i hear a loud *BOOM* followed by a burning smell

has anyone needed to cut the clips so that the Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu can fit?
i read on the website that many mobo's arnt 100% compatible with it and you will need to cut the clips
if anyone has had experience doing this, is this hard to do and easy to mess up?
i know that Zalman makes some 5.1 headphones but as far as i know, they suck
so is there another company out there that can make a good pair of 5.1 headphones, preferably for gaming?
have you checked the zalman website? go there and goto products and under the CNPS 7000 (P4 one) it'll say that its compatible w/ athlon 64, socket 754
