Just makes me want to stick to my plan of keeping my EVGA 3080 FTW for the time being, and maybe grabbing a spare one while there's still NIB stock around at decent prices.
So far what I've seen has convinced me to keep my EVGA 3080 FTW until it dies, no matter how long that takes, even if I have to lower the settings in newer things to keep the frame rates smooth.
I've had Edge blocked in my non-MS firewall since day 1 almost. Guess we'll see if MS can work around that or not.
Going to be another game of whack a mole between MS putting out patches to put Edge back and hackers putting out patches to remove or block it.
Gods I remember beta testing EQ back in the day. Levelled a cleric to 50 after launch and I can still remember the time someone traded me like 60 Peridots (way pricey gems back then) to rez him so he'd get back most of the XP he lost from dying.
Being a 50 cleric was very profitable. ;)
I'm...
Some info here.... (didn't see this posted yet but could have missed it)

I really want to build or buy a new top of the line system to last me a few years. Got an EVGA 3080 FTW I can toss into it too.
I just don't even know where to begin anymore. Maybe I'm getting too old for this schitt with how prices are and performance is somewhat lacking all around it seems.
Stock out of the box. Boosts to 1950 solid and stays there. Temps rarely break 65C except in a few cases. I haven't pushed it yet really.
I guess I expected a bit more oomph, though it's not a slouch either since it's basically matching the performance I had with 2 x Titan Xp's in SLI in...
My EVGA 3080 FTW arrived early and I managed to pop it in and do one quick Timespy bench.
Was kind of surprised it benched nearly the same as the 2 x Titan Xp's it replaced (around 15,000 overall), though my CPU isn't helping the overall score at all, but the rest of the system won't be getting...
My EVGA 3080 FTW Timespy benched just slightly less than the 2 x Titan Xp FE's it replaced at 3440x1440 at stock out of the box settings. Granted it ran a hell of a lot quieter and with less power draw. The 3080 didn't break 65C which to me was pretty great.
2 x Titan Xp's were 18,695...
As a fellow 3440x1440 user I can relate. I'll find out next week at some point when I'll finally get to see an EVGA 3080 FTW3 ULTRA arrive and replace the 2 x Titan Xp's I've been running since those launched.
Can't wait to crunch some CUDA stuff with it and see how it compares. :)
Sadly...
After how they did things with TW3, CDPR can do no wrong in my eyes. Lots of free stuff, a couple of excellent paid expansions.
If adding these into CP2077 MP helps them to make more games and improve them, I'm fine with it.
Could they screw the pooch with it? Sure. Do I think they will...
Hmm... 2 x Titan Xp's drawing up to 250W each atm.... replace them with 1 x 3090 at 350W....
Then use the hell out of those CUDA cores!
Sounds good in my head like that anyway. :P
If I thought I could shuck those and pop 4 of them into my mini NAS...…
Too much $$$ for though for that. Wish they made 2TB WD Reds..... or 4TB in 2.5" factor....
Somehow I expect this whole thing to go the way of lots of other Google services..... aka to the trash bin.
Maybe they'll fix it up enough to prove me wrong.... but I dunno….
3440 x 1440 gets me 3,844..... so just under half of what I get at 1920 x 1080.
It's a nice looking benchmark if nothing else. Got some nice screen grabs out of it for wallpapers. ;)
Get a bit higher when I'm not running FFXIV in the background along with the benchmark. Still not sure when I'd replace these Titans..... maybe when the 3080's hit next year.
I still have no clue when I'll upgrade again....
The Titan Xp's I have work fine for most things... if anything I'd like more CPU power perhaps, but I'm not even sure about that anymore. Being able to use CUDA for a lot of the things I do outside of gaming means I don't always need the best...
I'm still trying to find a new job since our company close and the job market around here sucks so I've no complaints. ;)
I've been enjoying Vampyr for the most part while I wait for this one. It's got it's flaws but I'm loving the setting. Glad I didn't pay full price for it but its...
Agreed on Devil's Crush. I played that endlessly. I also wish they had the original Bonk's Adventure on there..... So kind of on the fence now with a purchase.
This is for the PS4 version but still... holy moly.... Wonder what the final total for PC will be. :p

The description for Cyberpunk 2077 on the PlayStation Store reveals that the game will take up at least 80GB of space on the PS4’s hard...
I really don't have any "need" for ray tracing... yet. Someday I'm sure I'll upgrade, but for now, I expect this PC will manage just fine for Cyberpunk 2077 even at 3440x1440. ;)
