Blackcoin... Who else mines @ the multipool?

Where do you guys go to get these new coins converted to bitcoins or how do you cash out? From the Exchanges I've looked at (i.e. btc-e, coinbase), they don't always support the latest coins. Thanks.

    Dell Optiplex 980 Power Supply

I guess I didn't explain things real well in my original post. The reason you see my diagram with 24 pins instead of the 20 is because I'm explaining what needs to be supplied to the Dell motherboard (black connector of the adapter looking at the adapter end with notch up top and wires going...

    Dell Optiplex 980 Power Supply

This is the kit I used to remove the pins but a small flathead will also work. Just look at my diagram and arrange the pins from the ATX connector side of the adapter in my link. Just to clarify, you do not remove any pins from your new power supply, but the pins from the part of adapter that...

Your TX750 should be able to handle it just fine.

For the [H]orde 9800GX2 for $120 BFG Refurb

How is the GTX 260 better for gaming than the 9800GX2? Here are some good benchmarks to prove my point. Maybe I need glasses but I don't see the GTX 260 beating the 9800 GX2 in any of the benchmarks. Heck, the 9800 GX2 beats the GTX 280 in most of the benchmarks, as well.

    Which PSU to keep?

Saving energy isn't all about $$$, it's also about wanting to reduce your carbon "footprint" by doing your part. I would say keep the Enermax, as well.

For the [H]orde 9800GX2 for $120 BFG Refurb

Agreed but you do get better performance with Fermi and DX11. I just picked up the MSI 470 and it completely blows the 9800GX2 out of the water.

For the [H]orde 9800GX2 for $120 BFG Refurb

The 9800GX2 is a great card and would be a better buy than your 260 at this price. However, it's a refurb, power hungry and runs very hot.

    Dell Optiplex 980 Power Supply

Work got me a Dell Optiplex 980 that came with a 250 watt "green" power supply. This wasn't enough to run my 4870 for gaming. I purchased a 550 watt power supply only to find out that it only accepts what Dell calls "mini 24 pin ATX" connection. I found the adapter here and figured I was...

The Egg has the i5/i7 in stock.....

I agree 100% with getting a 920 because of the price over the 860. Why not grab a 920 and get the extra memory channel for less money? The extra channel is helpful because you can load it up with 12GB of memory relatively cheap (the jump from 2gb module to 4gb is steep).

Seagate 1.5 TB SATA Barracuda 7200.11 Internal Hard Drive $106

Between me and a couple of friends, we have 4 of these and have had zero problems. I would say for anyone getting this drive, the first thing you should do is update the firmware here. Like others have said, you are playing with fire if all your data is in one location with no backups.

    Infrared Thermometer $29.99 at HomeDepot

Yeah, it's basically just a red laser pointer as to where the infrared beam is hitting. From what I have seen on my PC, my hotspots are the northbridge, GX2 and 8600GTS with readings well over 130*F. I'm working on getting some better airflow to my case.

Not sure if this is hot or not but I picked up a Ryobi infrared thermometer with laser sight for $29.99 plus tax. I've always wanted one but they were usually in the $40+ range. This is good around the house and to pinpoint hotspots in your PC. Spec: -4* to 600*F (-20* to 315*C) Here's...

    Gigabyte ga-ep45-ud3P motherboard

I just received this board yesterday and will install to replace my GA-965P-DS3. The UD3P looks awesome and I'm glad it's full size versus the 965P. I'm hopeful for some good overclocking and from what I have read, it looks promising. I wished Gigabyte wouldn't use white for the PCI...
