Thanks I didn't realize it is so limited. Apparently Asus had AHCI support it in very early bios' and took it out in subsequent releases (i.e. 1+ year ago) I don't even think it's ICH9R, it's ICH9 which leaves AHCI support to the vendor. I suppose any ICH10R motherboard will do fine?

From what I have been told, no. I am using the MS drivers with my Raptor too.

I got my answer elsewhere, TCQ is not supported in the MS IDE drivers so I'll leave it as is. Thanks :D

Thanks - I decided to go with the A8N-E because of the PCI 4X and my case doesn't have a window so the color was a moot point after all :D

Is the build / bios functionality superior on the SLI board? I'm just speaking about the vanilla SLI board, not the premium or deluxe or 32-lane version. The price difference is only about $10, and I do like the black PCB style of the SLI version. I won't be using SLI at all.

What would you guys recommend - Ninja or Typhoon for my Lian-Li PC60 case? 2 intake, 1 top and 1 back 80mm fan. No side panel fan.

The 2005FPW only supports 1600x1050, maybe you mean that? Using the DVI connector on mine it's is crystal clear.

I use BNC cables with my 21" Sony G500 and I saw a clear difference at 1280x1024 @85hz and up over the normal VGA cable.

I had a problem with a 21" G500 Trinitron, it was bought second hand. Had no problem getting warranty work done w/out any receipts, due to the date stamp on the monitor. They didn't do a good job on it however (had to replace the base, which I couldn't easily replace due to integrated electronics)

What about the Gigaworks? Megaworks are an older set and aren't as great, I'd pick the Z680's over the megaworks but definitely the Gigaworks over the Z680s.
