I do agree the halo effect isn't as visible in SDR mode but with adaptive dimming on, the mouse cursor looks very washed out and hard to see.

Dimming is def broken on this monitor. In fact on black backgrounds you can clearly see the halo effect around the mouse which I know is a weakness to these panels so it's best to just disable dimming completely. Without the dimming zones and some tuning this monitor is pretty damn good looking...

This situation has become nuts. I did not think it would be this hard to score a card. Like most of you I've been trying hard to get one since day 1.

Something doesn't add up. If the 3090 is only 10% faster than the 3080 with more cores and 24gb ram why are we even bothering waiting for the 3080 with more onboard ram? Doesn't sound like it would make much of a difference.

I don't think there is any doubt about that one. Xbox needed better exclusives compared to Sony. This is a huge move forward doing that.

Are you getting any crashing? I had a similar issue. My fans would spin at full throttle then I would crash. Turned out it was a defective card I had to replace.

I don't think every processor is created equal. My first 9900k ran really hot at 5ghz and I ended up returning it. My 2nd one runs so much cooler and I am able to hit 5.1ghz on it.

If the quality check out on these I will definitely be making the move to them. I was using a 40inch 4k tv as a monitor and I loved the size but the ghosting and lack of vrr was a dealbreaker for me.

This TV is mostly used for gaming. I tested a couple of titles like Destiny 2 and others and I actually preferred the QLED for gaming. I game almost always with the light on and the extra brightness levels from the QLED really helps with that.

I consistently have issues getting below 1tb a month with comcast. I only have 50gb free until the end of the month in 2 days. I can understand a 1.5 or 2tb cap but comcast's 1tb cap is not enough for my family of 5. Unfortunately, I have no other option in my area except for comcast.
