I'm running an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe and I've got 1gb of Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR400 in it at timings of 2-2-2-5. What's this I hear about running 11 instead of 5 performs better on nforce2 boards? Is there truth behind this?
I'm running a 2800+ barton at 2.3GHz and I've got my Sapphire x800pro VIVO @ 16 pipes running 526/573, and at that I make 11,800 or so on 3dmark 03. If i push it a bit further, say 550/580 (which i dont like to do often) I can break 12k. I may push it further when i get my swiftech waterblock...
i dunno about the 6800's, but the silencer for the x800's is reeaaally popular right now. Not to mention the HIS Excalibur and Sapphire Toxic x800's ship with these coolers on them. If that's not good enough for you, get a water block :p
i would say no to the zalman handling the overclock. if you want an external that can overclock i'm gonna say you'll need the exos. i know it's gonna create some more noise, but that's what it's gonna take for you to oc it.
