I just got my setup recently, I was surprised with the sizes of the onkyo amp, klipsch sub and CSW MC630HD they are bigger than the pictures in website. Im going to perform more testing once they become burnt but my initial impression for the CSW Newton Series MC630HDs, I think theyre overkill...
I just placed purchased order at amazon.com for my proposed setup above
Unless someone had tried them he can't comment on them
Once they're shipped to me, I comment my initial impression . . . stay tuned ;)
The issue with bookshelf speakers they'll ocupy more space for descktop setup . . .
Most likely I'm going to try my proposed setup above since such a setup is rarely known,,,
I planning to build a 2.1 PC system using my USB XFi HD as a source, I’m looking forward:
- Subwoofer: Klipsch SW-350
- Power Amp: Onkyo M-282 2-Channel
- Seattleites : Cambridge SoundWorks Newton Series MC630HD
I read couples of reviews about klipsch subs and Onkyo amp.
Has...
Good Day
My objective is to establish completely passive gaming PC setup, no extra fans other than the ones with PSU and the case, of course both incorporate the most silent fans.
I found Zalman Reserator 1 V2 to be the most perfect passive liquid cooling system.
Ill replace the stock...
Yes you are right, but I'm wondering about USB SoundBlaster Go! Pro with the claim of supporting EAX 5.0
I need some one who own X-Fi Go! Pro to confirm that.
Great review, but it didn't mention which versions of EAX are supported
I had USB X-Fi HD since three months, so far the sound quality astounding ;)
I tried to figure out the EAX Advanced HD support using RightMark 3DSound 2.3,
and found out this:
I install some of EAX-Enabled games...
Just found these info along with photos of internal components about sound blaster X-Fi HD version in asia (renamed to: sound blaster digital music premium HD) :
http://www.soomal.com/doc/10100001585.htm
According to the above Chinese website, the audio chip being used is CA0189 ,
the same one...
Nowadays laptops are equipped with intel core i7, so the audio acceleration is meaningless to me . . .
What matter are the 3D surround and EAX HD and other features.
It would be very pleasing if the usb sound blaster X-Fi HD support up to EAX 4.0 for notebook users :)
I haven't play Bioshock but I guess this game should support X-RAM since it is based on OpenAL
I checked with other OpenAL titles like Call of Juarez and using RM3DSound during the the game I found that nearly half of the X-RAM were used . . ;)
So I can conclude that any OpenAL...
Well I moded my X-Fi Elite pro from the thread posted in Head-fi forum:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=229350
and the sound quality improved significantly using my HD595 and it is claimed to drive most headphones directly, but I don't know whether the quality matches...
Some low impedance cans can be hooked in headphone Amp and prvides greater quality than unamped like Sennhesier HD595 with 50 ohm, also there is some opamp such as LM4562 can drive high impedance cans resonably.
I had before X-Fi XtremeMusic then I sold it, and I bought X-Fi Elite Pro for even better DAC and op-amp which is helpful to get even cleaner sound using my headphones(Sennheiser HD595) and the 64MB X-RAM.
While testing the 64MB X-RAM in providing performance boost with my PC setup (Pentuim D...
The original CD for SB Audigy2 contains all applications with graphical user interface that you talked about, they are not available in creative's website except some of them like Creative Media Source and other small size applications.
I found out that elite pro break box had DAC ( CS3492: 114db ) for 1/4 headphones jack and 1/8 Line-out1 jack on the card plate had DAC ( CS3498: 120db ) which better DAC than the one on the break box objectively.
Does the quality of the card's DAC subjectively is better than than the...
the elite pro break box has DAC ( CS3492: 114db ) for 1/4 headphones jack but I don't know about the DAC used in Fatal1ty bay drive for 1/4 headphones jack.
I had HD595 connected to line-out1 in the X-Fi XtremeMusic card and I'm looking for
X-Fi Elite Pro with external I/O box that include 1/4" jack for headphones.
So, which better to connect to: ----> ( line-out1 OR 1/4" jack ) ?
PoE midpoint solution? can you tell exactly about it because I didn't get its idea yet? I mean it power the signal better than switch for long distance ?
infortunatly the path of the wire didn't pass thru any power source there is no mark to supply electricity, it is passed within flat land, that's why I asking about Gigabit switch . .
I don't think it support hardware-game acceleration, creative stated no driver is required for installation so it is impossible to have openAL or Directsound3d hardware engines,
this behavior is similar to what i remeber USB SoundBlaster digital Music, windows can detect the card without...
Well currently using normal switch I got many time-out with very slow speed (1~5Mbit) due to the length of wire (130 meter) if Gigabit switch is going to increase the speed upto 50Mbit I'll buy it, but I have no idea right now?
If the length of cat.5 wire is over 100m (~130m-150m), the signals will be lost using normal 10-100Mbit switch, so What is the solution? Is Gigabit switch will resolve the length problem?
I'm wondering wether to buy an X-fi I/O front bay to my XtremeMusic inorder to plug my HD595 into front headphones jack, but will I get better amplication and sound quality if I connect HD595 to front headphones jack of the bay instead of rear jack? Is it worth to upgrade for this purpose ...
well, I have both HD485 and HD595, . , ,
I like the bass punch of HD485 more than HD595 but the others than bass HD595 steps many than HD485 in advanced music detail and soundstage, I hope that the HD595 have the same bass impact of HD485 but nevermind HD595 definitly my favorite set since I...
Well, I have HD485 first and then I bought HD595, I don't listen to HD555,
if your purpose is gaming then I expect no difference between HD555 and HD595, if your purpose is music and seriously you want high quality detail sound go to HD595.
HD485, however, compared to HD595 IMHO it depends...
