Yep I meant solder/circuitry/etc. Oh, wow. Then there's two more differences there between the Toxic Tri-X and the Vapor-X Tri-X. Check out the backplate and VRM sinks on the new R9 280x (100363TXSR):
Ah, nice. Make sure those fans are okay @ 100% fan speed, lol I wonder if it's a % or if...
Lol, what? What fans did you replace it with? Specs on stock fans?
The magic with the VRM cooling is on the back of the PCB. It has individual metal ridged heatsinks on each VRM. Get a fan moving air past those and you have nothing to worry about.
BTW, does your Vapor-X Tri-X have a backplate...
That was one of the reasons I pulled out of buying this card. I noticed the gap between the input grill and the heatsink was different than the Toxic. It appeared that the HSF on the Vapor-X Tri-x is slightly thinner/different than the normal Toxic Tri-X. Notice the gap in the pic below...
FML. I cancelled my backorder on this card a few weeks ago and paid top dollar for Sapphire's supposed top of the line 280x in the R9 toxic (100363TXSR).
It came with Elpida memory, which is inferior to the Hynix memory the OP has in his Vapor-X model. Memory is the most important aspect of a...
I have an external USB drive (Seagate Free Agent 500GB) connected to a Dell XPS2 Laptop running XP SP2. When I attempt to power on the machine with the USB drive connected, the bios attempts to boot off of the USB drive and the system hangs at a black screen with a blinking cursor, requiring a...
My dvd drive keeps powering off if I leave it idle for more than 5 mins. It removes itself from the device manager as if it was never there. When I reboot it, it works fine until I leave it idle again and then the same thing happens.
I need to find a way to recover (preferably burn to cd and/or zip and upload) files in an expired Windows XP Home installation. Since the Windows Genuine Advantage security prevents any way of backing the files up, there are two ways so far that I've heard of to go about doing this. One is to...
SCEA... right...
God of War and SOCOM are phenomenal, and both are published by SCEA.
God of War II is supposedly shaping up to be the best action game of all time.
I'd go with EA.

Okay, one last question.
Will the windows xp product key from the HP laptop work with a windows xp pro student edition cd?
Here's the problem: My roommate misplaced his original hp windows cd, but still has the product key on the back of the laptop. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was for xp...

Dew, thanks so much for posting that. The performance indicated by those tests from the Pentium m is astonishing.
On a more level headed declaration, this is truely the best deal ever, knowing this. :)

AMD showed us a couple years ago that GHz isn't all that matters when it comes to the performance in your computer, especially in gaming. What I want to know is does this hold true with Pentium mobile cpus (Centrino) vs. the full blown Pentium HTs?
For example, the Dell XPS2 notebooks are a...
