First Build 1993 put the Chip in 90 degrees out ... this was before they marked the sockets .... lots of smoke and melted socket.
Latest ... ASUS Sli motherboard ..power switch is one pin over from the next switch. kept putting the power switch connector on the wrong pins. took an hour to...
You could also look at using extended serpentine runs of tubing like they do for underfloor radiant heating if you wanted too. but it would take a big pump to push the water.
If you lay the case out correctly the Armour can give you great wire management. Get the aluminum one and use a dremel to open up the front of the Motherboard tray and you can get alot of the wiring behind the motherboard. Cut the motherboard tray where the CPU socket mount is and you will be...
My original build ( the one I am typing on now) I installed the Res. with the fill ports on the bottom and it gave me many issues before I got the weeping to stop... This time mine will go fill ports up I think. Now to just find the time to do the build.
Nik... I gotta say these are some...
BioPort ...I was just thinking the same thing ...especially since I am starting my new build next week.
I need to decide whether to leave the water cooling out, buy a make-do reservoir, or just build it with a t-line and add the res later.
I found G1/4" allen plugs at McMaster Carr.pt# 4860K126
Description:
Brass Threaded Pipe Fitting 1/4" O-Ring Plug, Nickel-Plated, BSPP Threads
But they are more than 1.60 each. they charge $3.34 ea.
One word of warning .... Not all of them work with all motherboards. I have one that came with an Abit motherboard and it wouldn't work with my Epox board. I also had a thid party one that just hated my wife's Asus board but would run on 2 others. Go figure.
What parts do you need from an Aquatube? ... I just pulled mine out of my case ... Something started eating the anodizing or else it was a piss poor anodizing job. I'm not happy about it.

It was reviewed on one of the sites and they found that it conducted electricity not alot but it would let enough current pass to light some LED's.

not good.
For the price and performance I think Swiftech might indeed be the best answer for you.
You can get other kits cheaper or quieter ... but your going to be disappointed somewhere.
I junked my TT for an Enermax .... cleaner power, quieter, and stronger ... I wouldn't put a TT in if I had any other choices. Antec PSU's are good so long as you get one of the non OEM one's.
Agreed when comparing a BIX with this they are definitely even ... would seem to be better than a BIP though which is what I was originally comparing it to.
One interesting remark I noticed was the statement that the 12-T seems to have a better flow than the BIX.
I will need to do a search...
Yes it does look the one from Hwlabs ... but the specs escpecially the heat exchange ratings were SO very different I wondered. I'm reading the review Lothar linked currently.
1/2" Barbs fit fine in 7/16"ID tube .... it's a tight fit but it will go on with a little muscle or lubrication.
1/2" Barbs fit inside 1/2"ID hose ...so technically they are slightly smaller than 1/2" OD.
I love my 7/16" ID tubing ... and you can find it at US Plastics and also McMaster-Carr.
If you search the Forums Cathar and I have previously put out links to both sites.
