So I wrote up a review for the ATCS 840, HERE
So I plan on building my first ever WC setup using this case, as my P182 just had horrible horrible air flow. I want a super quiet system and to push my OC farther than it currently resides at 3.4 Ghz. Aiming for 4Ghz +! First are the initial air setup. Still waiting on buying some used WC parts, so if you're selling WC parts, see here!
Initial plans:
Well after being inspired by other projects I've seen browsing around (omg PromethusCU, holy jesus) I've got the itch to really get down and dirty to modding. Let me know what you guys think of these ideas...
Sleeving of all cables with this kind of sleeving.
Cutting a window mod. I'm still really torn about this, on one side, I really like the giant silver beast kind of look, but I also want to show off stuff as well as able to view quickly my WC loops in case of emergency breaks/leaks.
Silver/chrome painting of rads. Maybe repainting the HDD mounts. Still not sure if I want a whole silver look or a contrast of black and silver/chrome.
Building some sort of bottom/top paneling/box between mobo tray and bottom of case. Right now (I'll get pictures up soon). You can see all the ugly wiring and mis-matched colors. But doing so might kill the airflow from the front 230mm fan. Any opinions?
Initial pictures:
In my old P182
On the ATCS 840 Mobo Tray
CPU Backplate opening
PSU, I don't like how there's no over-lay support bar or anything to hold it down like the P182, only the 4 screws in the back hold it.
HDD Mounting Plate
Old P182 Mounting Tray and my 640AALS mounted in the ATCS tray
More pics soon, apparently camera didn't upload the other pictures...
