What percentage of users SLI a pair of 5870 or GTX285?

None, in regards to the 5870.

As far as 1 vs 2GB, if you max settings and crank the AA up enough on crysis you can use more than 1GB of V.ram. You'd need 3 GTX 380s to get more than a slideshow at those settings though. More than 1GB of V.ram is rarely useful.

I seem to remember GTA4 was a real sucker for lots of VRAM too. Not sure if it used more than 1GB, but I'm sure if you get to 2560x1600 with AA and stuff, you'd get there.

Says the guy that never used Eyefinity. If you think having a five foot stretch of LCDs in front of you sucks then who am I to argue with suckage?

It would be nice, at least, to get monitors without the big, chunky bezels we have now. That would make Eyefinity a whole lot better. That and Crossfire support.
