I had an Athlon XP 2400, 1.25 GB RAM, 80 GB IDE HDD, nvidia 5700LE (eventually replaced w/ an nvidia 6600GT), Gigabyte NF4 board.
Still running strong as an internet PC for my wife's grandparents.

2x Intel Xeon 2.4Ghz overclocked to 3.06Ghz (17x180)
IWill DPI533 (E7505 Chipset w/ ICH4, which was one of the first to support Dual Channel DDR) 2GB PC3200 DDR ATI Radeon X800XT-PE AGP 2x Fujitsu MAU3036 36GB 15,000rpm SCSI drives on an Adaptec 39160 Audigy2 ZS Fortron 550watt EPS-12v unit (24+8 pins long before they were available on regular PSU's) The processors were Prestonia Core Xeons with HT, basically the Xeon equivalent of a Northwood Core P4. Virtual Quad-Core 6 years ago was nice ![]() Actually, I think I added in the X800XT-PE and the Audigy2 ZS around ~2004 or so. When I first put the system together I was using a FireGL X1-128 which was basically a rebranded 9700 Pro and for my soundcard I used a Turtle-Beach Santa Cruz.

6 years ago? I was still rockin' on my old Dell Dimension XPS R400 back in 2003!
Dell Dimension XPS R400 Intel Celeron 1.4 GHz w/ Powerleap PL-iP3/T Slocket Adapter Intel SE440BX Motherboard PC100 768 MB (256 MB x 3) Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 48X Samsung CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive 2 x WD 5400 RPM 80 GB ATA100 Hard Drives It was fun extending the life of this 1998-era PC (my first experience in upgrading a PC), but the Radeon 9800 Pro was so badly bottlenecked by the archaic Pentium II subsystem. I still even have the 3DMark 2001 & 05 scores for the dinosaur here: ![]() 3DMark 2001 (8352): http://service.futuremark.com/result...3&resultType=6 3DMark 2005 (2652): http://service.futuremark.com/result...&resultType=12 Last edited by CKTurbo128; 11-06-2009 at 05:02 PM..

well, no idea what component was made by what, but six years ago my machine was:
P4 @ 2.4GHZ 512 MB ram 60GB HD 32mb video card dvd drive cd rw drive (man, those were separate back then) no idea what the rest was, it was a VPR Matrix, which I think they made (whoever they is) for all of a few months. Actually, the website is still up for some reason. I had: http://www.vprmatrix.com/products_desktop_FT2100.asp but with a samsung 15" lcd monitor In fact, I only retired it last year after a few upgrades due to wanting more space and realizing the whole hard drive market had gone sata on me. Not sure what to do with the remnants. Still functions. Future server box?
