Just upgraded my HTPC to a GTX 260
Yea, I play games on it too.
![]() It's a Athlon X2 5600+ with 4 gig of ram running Vista Ultimate x64. Is this a good match or is the CPU holding back the 260? TIA

So your HTPC is also a gaming rig? Do you have another rig or just one that is multifunctional? For most purposes of a HTPC the GTX 260 is overkill. My BE 2400 oc'ed to 2.9GHz and an onboard ati 3200 is fine for all but intense ffshow scripts but obviously I would not game on this.

Well, there will be GPU acceleration in Flash 10.1.

Next year. I posted that as a poke at the 'physx' post above mine.

My post was a poke at a HTPC thread being in the Physics section.

Ah, the X2 5600... Had one last year before my Core 2 Duo and even that was holding back my 8800GT I owned at the time. +1 for a PhII X3 720.
