Xeon 1366 Heatsink

I have noticed that Intel has two different stock heatsinks for the LGA 1366 Xeons.

BXSTS100C & BXSTS100A

The C is rated for 130w CPUs and the A is rated for 80w CPUs.

I am using the E5530 with is an 80w part.
The C has heatpipes and i think it will perform better ..

Would getting the C version help with temp more then the A ??

Price is exactly the same for either version

You planning to overclock it? If so, don't bother with the stock HSF, 80 or 130W.

The C version would certainly perform better. It has heatpipes and a greater fin density.

I am not aware of any dual 1366 boards that allow overclocking at this time.
Since this system is purely for Folding@home, stability is top priority.
