Windows Won't Boot Properly

Recently.. i updated the video drivers on my computer and decide to dust it out and replace the front panel. It's been giving me problems booting to windows. Sometimes i would get the BSOD or it would randomly restart and go the the prompt where it asks me which windows setting i would go to or it would just cycle a few times and finally boot. I'm not sure what i did wrong. I made sure the headers were on correctly and i double checked but it just hangs at times. BTW its my first time dusting of my rig in a year since i left my desktop behind and just used a laptop at school.

will it boot into safe mode on the first try every time?
if so, good chance of it being driver/software related.
