Nice price.
I ordered for an extra DG45ID I have lying around. Will make a decent desktop for my sister. Thanks for posting that cpu deal. I would not have found it myself.

Will this work on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R (Rev 1.0)?
It is not listed but it does accept other 45nm CPUs.

That's exactly what I say, then do when I see a nice price. No self-control

This CPU should work with this mobo, correct?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-115-_-Product Planned to get that with this CPU for now, and upgrade the GPU/RAM later, since it allows use of AGP and DDR1, great starter mobo to keep it in the budget.

dont forget to overclock the e5200 to around ~3.7ghz. on air. mines been doing 3.9 for many months now, it makes a huge difference over stock speed.

Stock speed is 2.5GHz so an overclock of 1.2GHz (~50%) is very generous and probably not likely for the majority of these CPUs. No overclock is guaranteed, let alone a 50% overclock.

Wait!
so overclocked cpus are faster than stock ones... How long has this been going on?

every e5200 ive known and read about hits 3.5 without even trying. just have good ram and a stable power supply, and you must buy better then stock cooling... but other then that, it IS pretty much guaranteed. this was the best budget chip for a long time just because of its OC potential. i still game with mine with much more need for a faster video card (8800gt) then a cpu.

sigh. some overclocks make a big difference, most dont. performance on this chip scales extremely well, and i am only trying to help. leave it to you guys to jump down someones throat (someone that has and knows about these e5200's) just for making a suggestion.
