Alot better now.

I believe they now double box and double bubble wrap their hard-drives.

My last amazon hard-drive order was quite disappointing. Literally one sheet of bubble wrap on the bottom of the box with no protection on other sides. Hard-drive only work for an hour before it died.

You can try. I'm simply waiting for them to mark the price down.

Their official policy is that they don't give a crap what prices other stores offer and that they don't match prices.

now thats what i wouldve guessed. i think pc user's idea would work just as fast as a real policy though, amazon is never far behind (they basically do the pricematching for everyone automatically).

Well it looks like Amazon isn't lowering its price anytime soon. So I'm in for 3 from Newegg for now, with possible 4 more later.

I wouldn't recommend raiding these guys, there is a lot of issues pertaining to it. WD forces you to buy their enterprise editions to raid.

laddies, this is a warm deal at best. I would hate to put all of my shit on one HDD and have it fail on me. Would rather buy 2 1TB HDD than 1 2TB HDD if that makes sense.
