Can I rma a video card without the original packaging?
I have an EVGA 7600GT in a spare rig. The card is not behaving well & I thought I'd rma the card. I cannot find the original packaging and I wonder if I can still rma the card?

I see why not as long as the packaging doesn't damage the card.
-Anti-static bag -Bubble wrap the card with layers. -Fill up empty gaps in the box with packaging material like packing peanuts. If you don't have then use newspaper. Throw a little note in the box with a smilie face that says "happy holidays" to get on their good side.

Everytime I RMA'd a vid card they only wanted the bare card. You should be fine. Just pack it well when you ship it back.

Usualy just the bare card is enough, make sure to pack it well you don't want any argument it was damaged in transit. I've always used an anti static bag where possible and then packed the inside of a cardboard box with tightly scrunched up carrier bags, everyone has loads of them laying about
![]() Throwing in a note couldn't hurt, nice tip ![]()
