I'm thinking of building a new system using the GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 motherboard. I have no intentions of overclocking or modding anything. If this is the case, will there be the cold boot problems? I just want a fast and rock solid reliable machine. Thanks.

I have version 1 with f7 bios oc'ed my e6400 to 3.2ghz (400 fsb). No cold boot issues at all! One hit of the button and the baby boots up.

If it helps for anyone, I did flash to F10 bios then back down toe F7 (not sure if that did anything) but I cant seem to produce this cold boot problem people are referring too.

F9 caused problems.

I haven't tried all of the different FSB/multi combinations on F10 that I did before with F7.

But it seems as though F7 is the best for overclocking.

I never had cold boot problems and I ran the F7 for most of the time I had the board.

Can someone that has this issue discribe it? How does the system act? Does it post?

I use F10 and it still has the cold boot issue.

It basically doesn't post or just cycles. I have to turn it off and back on (usually only 2 or 3 times) then it posts and boots fine.

I rarely turn my pc off so it's not a huge deal for me.
