Yeah so this bottom rack box will the gaming rig but also the folder when the zzzzz's hit.

Goal: Maximum possible OC on AIR. Will skimp on some CFM for da bling.

Out of the cave. Dust yeah. The blue cable is the KVM. Giant black DVI is to PJ which will be moved to the HTPC (TJ07 some time later).

These waffle things need to go
dscn3211mq1.jpg

The spider web thing will go, the LEDs, USB, power, latch thing will go.
ALso need to touch up nicks.
dscn3212xg4.jpg

These brackets will go. Also the wires will go that connect to the floppy area.

Those are gone now.

Touch up tool. haha

All ready for some new fans, grilles, and a HSF.
Plus a new power button, and some red CCFLs.
dscn3238bk4.jpg

That's all for now. Will be finding a modular PSU.
Perhaps a superior panel 5.25. Perhaps some
5.25 blowers.

Airflow idea. Only at a modest OC now. Want to hit some higher numbers.

Air cooling's out. Onto WC setup. Ordered from DD

AM2 waterblock
AS5
TYgon 3/8
Danger Den Round REs
GTS 120 black Ice (Ferrari Red)
Danger Den DDC-12V

:D

So I'll be putting project Vista Boxen on hold until I can get some decent OC utils for Vista. Speedfan needed along with clockgen and cpu-z for vista 64 support.

Here's the loop idea. I didn't get a gpu cooler or northbridge cooler. Want to see how this runs first.

THE HDD cage ANDthe OPtical cage will be removed. I'll keep the S12-430 for now.
Time for bed. zzzzzzzzzz.

Ready. Time to install Danger Den swag.

Done.

Pretty bland, I realize. It would be nice to get some CCFLs or UV lights. Need to look into that.

Here is the final OC for the system. Btw all the bubbles are gone now and it's ice inside. Seems the sweet spot for this particular proc is about 2.8 at 1.6v being 234x12 = ~2800 MHz. That's a ~17% OC from the original spec. Not to shabby, but amdgeeks.net reports other cores much higher OCs.

It's pretty darn fast at 2.8. Need to write down the specs here so I don't forget.

234x12 PCI locked at 101. Cpu voltage at 1.60. Ram voltage at 1.90, 5-5-5-15. HT at 4x and the RAM at a divider of 667 ~300 some odd MHz.

Here's the specs for you if you're interested. Took me about 4.5 Hours to do all the testing. Happy to say I'll be the fastest 3800+ on amdgeeks.net once it gets posted.

I particularly like how the res is easily visible. I'll be doing more modding on this case. Data in the columns is the CPU voltage. Data in the rows are the MHz tested at using clockgen. The data is the LOAD temperature at that voltage and MHz. YMMV.

i notice you used a 2 second exposure on the last 2 pics.

makes those LEDs look really bright/annoying.

nice work piako, i think we need to hang out, we make a similar mess

love the rack setup, i wanted to do something in my 18sp flight case.

Yeah this Nikon S1 doesn't have any aperture or shutter speed settings.

So my room is about 12x12 (and the bed is the "workbench". Before I went back to school to finish my degree I had a very nice apartment right on the beach down in Del Mar, CA. It had a giant garage, pool, hot girls everywhere, no crime, great food, and superb living.

Then I moved to Fresno.

- -

I had to take the OC down to 2.64 GHz. The OC attemps before the WC setup killed the CPU I think and it ran on 1.8 but when I got back up today (fri) it had restarted and any attempts to get past 2.7 were not successful.

Going again.

Redid some wiring.

Orange while off. Ruby when running.
My p+s camera doesn't depict the glow right.
It's like crystal.

Tubing's turning brown? Hmmmmmm.....
Water isn't discolored, only the tubing seems to be.

The new 80mms really helped bring down the hdd temp.
