I decided bought one of this cards

Was there a reason you ran your CPU at 3200 with the 8800GTS?

only runing CPU @ 3200mhz with 2x 8800gts SLI and with 8800GTX because it was the results from an "old" review i made of BFG 8800GTS SLI VS BFG 8800GTX , and a said its not to compare just curiosity

i also want watercool the card , but from what i hear from Shamino of Vrzone , the Shim its taller than the Core , i think only a waterblock with the core area taller than the shim area can work Ok

Running sli 8800gts overclocked, 1 2900xt normal clocked, only get 9900 for two sli...

Not to mention you never showed which video cards were actually in the tests. You could've overclocked or underclocked anything to get scores.

I smell BS.

You have a 2900xt normal clocked beating a 8800gtx OVERCLOCKED. Using the same ati drivers that got this score from more reputable sites:

Something is seriously wrong with your scores.

And for a person who can't seem to speak english very well, you certainly understand it perfectly. A real foreign person wouldn't fully understand english sentence structure.

yeah my 8800GTX Scores was done with 97.92 drivers thats why 8800GTX 3dmark 2006 its lower than in other reviews where they use 158.19 (boost driver) , if you read all in 1st Post you notice that right away ;)



i thinking im wasting my time with you that seems to be a Biased , and talking with Biased ppl its wast of time

BTW, this getting completely out of hand.

The new drivers were supposed to only beat the 8800gts. Now they beat the 8800gtx.

All of these different (fake) numbers....

When theirs so many different numbers being given, it usually means one thing.

So many people gonna get their hearts crushed.

Since you like to stay in your topic, here is my topic:

First it beat 8800gts. Then people come and posts that it beat 8800gtx in 3dmark06 by about 100 points.

Then an even bigger margin comes up:

Rainbow Six Vegas is now almost 13 fps faster running by the 2900xt then an 8800gtx.

This makes it completely a lie.

It's time for you to see the facts.

8800 is 15 fps faster then the 7950gx2 in that account.

Now, how much does 15 translate to?

Over 1,700 points more in 3dmark 06. And that's not the full score either.

The full score would be 4000-5000 points more because of 15 fps.

But what about more intensive games, like the second one?

Around 13 fps more, just like the original one.

And how many more does it get in 3dmark06?

1,3000 more. It would be 2000-3000 points more at the end.

If it scored 15-30 fps more in pretty much all games, it would have a score of around 4000 more in 3dmark.

Sorry to say, but even the most cool machine with a core 2 duo versus a celeron, probably wouldn't pull off getting 4000 more on itself... stock... Lets not mention core 2 versus core 2...

So, why so many numbers that are different?

The fact is, no matter how much different a card is the same exact card will not get 4000 more 3dmark scores then another.

Possibly 100, maybe 1000, but 4000?

So, tell us another lie.

Honestly, anyone can come in saying these things, and if they were someone famous, why would they want people to know?

What would the real leader of sales and marketing for AMD get for talking to some person? Attempting to own some person for 30 minutes? Nothing except wasting time he should be spending working.

I tell you this much, if the AMD manager of sales and marketing was really you, and you got caught bashing a potential customer, what would happen? You'd get fired.

How many customers would someone working for AMD get if they showed rumours, and then when someone else denied them, the AMD workers bashed them?

Not only that, what does an AMD employee get out of publicly leaking rumoured code that is soon to be released? Firing.

AMD would quickly lose everything they had.

Try again.

of course the scores are not fake

there is a lot of ppl when see better scores than the scores of the cards they have , they say its FAKE ( we see it all over the internet , not just here , ) Just ignore them ;)

Then I have a pentium d with a x1900xt 512?

Then a 2500+ with 9600 pro.

And a 1800+ with 9600xt.

Make the call.

The x1900xt 512 did me great for awhile, but when the 8800 cards came out, I had to get one.

I'm more an ati fan then Nvidia. But this is BS from desperate fanboys.

I'm just going to say that we can go back and fourth back and fourth. Everyone is throwing up these "review" sites right and left, the ones you show have an X1950XTX beating an 8800GTS?! HA! :p


I'm just going to sit back and watch this all unfold. Arguing over these beta drivers when there isn't substantial proof that they actually do something is just pointless and I won't do it.

Find somebody else.

I'll check back around the time Crysis comes out to see what's what, then snag the top dog (regardless of who it is).

Thank you for sharing these results mascaras, they are most interesting and will serve as a good comparison later on.

Who are you really? I must say that this was a very good scheme you had. With a few more things here and there, like better english, showing the video card on the 3dmark scores (or just faking it), and a few other things, you could be really good. I hope you learn from this topic. If I wasn't here it could've gone on for several days.

I just had to not let that happen ;) :p

Then why, OH WHY are you raising such a big deal over these results. You can't just go off calling them "BS from desperate fanboys" when the same could be said about you! Trying to prove these are false so your 8800 doesn't look so bad.

Come on, that's dumb. This argument can be turned on either side, the only thing is to NOT get so caught up in it.

Just something to think about.
 
I only care about performance. If ati was truly more powerful, I'd buy it and replace the 8800 in a flash.

But this topic... this was... interesting. I had to post.

Are you serious?

Any smart person would look at multiple reviews before buying a card ;) No need to crazy over one.

The guy ran his 8800s at stock clocks (or stock factory overclocks) or so that's what it looks like.

It's true, the 2900xt just looks good in 3dmark, it's still behind the 8800GTX in games... Like it's supposed to be.
