DigiTimes, citing industry sources, says that 17” – 19” LCD monitor prices are likely to increase in June by as much as $10. The good news is that there is no price increase expected for 19” – 20” panels.

With the price increase, the ASPs (average selling prices) for 17- and 19-inch panels will reach US$125 and US$145, respectively, the sources said. Quotes for the segments already jumped US$8-19 in the beginning of May after rising since March, the sources noted.

Now if prices of monitors 22" and up would come down, that'd be awesome. I don't mean like $10. I mean like, down to $250 or less, no rebate required.

Could you imagine how many people would hop on a 2407 at even $300?
