26inch A-MVA panel

You are the only one who feels this way, Roach why say the same thing in ten different threads??

Sorry but your threads are virtually pointless, perhaps collecting all your thoughts and making one thread would suffice????

conglach stop stalking me jesus christ.

Nobody knew what panel was in that thing so I posted what it would probably be.

♥♥♥♥alich or whatever, you are really harassing that dood.

now he might be annoying to you, but his questions about that display are valid. I too am wondering about it. not much comes up when I do a search for it on this site.

i've been wondering about this. Both the Acer AL2623W and AL2616 models are listed on Acer.co.uk as having an "Advanced PVA" panel. However, couple of problems with this really. Samsung are the only manufacturer of PVA since that is their technology. Afaik they dont make a 26" panel! the specs of the Acer models look more like S-IPS as well, with a contrast ratio (non dynamic of 800:1).

I'm sure i also saw pics at some point where someone had taken apart the 2623W and shown it was using LG.Philips' 26" S-IPS panel.

any thoughts from anyone?

If it goes purple when you look at it from the side, it is S-IPS.

Really, it should not be hard to tell from use whether a panel is TN/VA/IPS.

(although H-IPS makes it a bit more tricky without the tell tale violet)
