Hi

Stealing the Jerker thread's idea i here by call every Galant user to post his workstation image.

It is huge and I arranged its height to 80 cm.

I bought mine this week and it is huge. I bought it so that I can have room for 3 PCs and 4 monitors (the new PC has yet to arrive

I'm looking to order one of these desks but there is many options on the ikea site. If you had to get one again what kind of config would you get?

I am thinking about the "left corner desk" with 31 1/2" x 23 5/8" table tops attached to each end of the corner desk. So it would be like your desk but with another addon desk (like the one on your left), turned sideways, attached to the right side (instead of the curved thing you have). I don't know if that would even work. One end of the corner desk is 31 1/2" and the other is 23 5/8" so I assume it can work like that??

regarding the setup - do as you prefer.

regarding the rectangled part - You can do it as it can be rotated and serve as either 80 x 60 or 60 X80 - there are drilled holes for each situation.

I can tell you that prior to making the buy I went to IKEA twice and also I spent about two hours in the office dept. as I was trying to figure out which of their solutions is the best for my need.

There are many options for setups (as you probably know by now) and you can go as big as 260 cm long (maybe more by adding more table legs.

It is rather big and very very professional looking. I do hear ppl saying that IKEA is not so good in products quality.

You should have set the legs more wide apart - in these corner setup - IKEA recommends to put them in the extreme holes and not the ones in the middle.

Did you consider using the Case holders (aka Summera) ?

Unfortunately, I can't do anything with the legs other than what I've got... My rolling chair catches on the leg if it's installed properly... Not really a problem though, since I've got 4 full sets of (2) legs on it!

And naw, I like my case at head level, as I'm always peering inside it for various reasons :)

Here's my Galant. The only thing I'll change about this setup is to replace my 2407 with the new Samsung 275T 27" LCD I ordered. Maybe I'll clean up that cable jungle one of these days. Of course, I've been saying that for over a year. :D

How do you get full-size pics to display? I always end up with those little pics. I've been using ImageShack to host pics.

You're copying the wrong link. Look for the one that's just the URL of the image (usually at the bottom) - not the one that says something like "Thumbnail for forums/messageboards"
