So, we just call this woman and tell her we would like one at this price and we're good to go?

I called my Dell Enterprise rep from work. If your enterprise is on good terms with them, they can hook you up for around $1,200 it looks like. That's only what he said he could do for me, otherwise, best he could do was $1,510. Don't need to replace my 3 3007's yet, so I passed.

Awesome post!

Just spoke to Lisa and placed my order for my 3008WFP! I previously had an order for one by using the 10% Dell Coupon but this deal was far better.

Do note however that Lisa asked me to pass along to folks reading this forum that she did get in trouble for the price she was offering. The price that I received was $1,550.

Still, it's a great deal and I just easily saved $400.

If you're considering getting this monitor don't hesitate to call Lisa. She is top-notch!

Thanks Mike!

Awfully tempting... One thing is certain, if the 3008 can be had for around $1500, it makes ZERO sense to buy any other 30" LCD.

I'd still like to see it compared to the Gateway 30"

Lisa was extremely nice but she also told me that she made a mistake on the original pricing and reiterated that she got in trouble as a result of the lower price. Best she would offer me is $1644. I didn't really press the issue. I passed. Maybe next time.

Prices all over the place

Wish I had seen this thread earlier. Now I will need to wait until Monday and hope that I still get a good deal.

I ordered 3008WFP for $1,830 after a 10% coupon discount on a couple of weeks back. Now it seems like prices for this monitor are all over the place. If people are getting this monitor for $1,200 or $1,450 then it seems like the rest of us are just getting screwed by a few hundred bucks

I might just cancel my order and wait a few months if I don't get a good deal on Monday.

I would expect 3008WFP prices to drop to the same level as 3007WFP prices pretty quickly once the 3007WFP inventory is cleared. People who buy the 3008WFP now are paying a premium for having it early. If it's not worth the premium to you, then waiting makes sense.
