I am currently working on my 1st overclock of my "Everyday Rig" (see sig) and my RAM is rated (according to spec's @ Newegg) for:
Cas Latency: 4
Timing: 4-4-4-12
But is running at
Cas Latency: 5
Timing: 5-5-16

Also the FSB:dRAM Ratio is: 5:6...
  • What settings should I change to get this working faster?

Your running your RAM over it's rated speed, thusly the CAS need to go higher to compensate. I'm no RAM expert, but I dont think you can get those numbers down unless you try to run the FSB:RAM at 1:1.

Apparently my OC isn't as stable as a thought, I ran 5hrs of memtest w/out any problems;

But when I ran Orthos "Blend - stress CPU and RAM" overnight, I woke up to this;
:(
Now what... Do I need to tweak my memory settings;
DRAM Frequency - 480mhz
FSB:dRAM - 5:6
CL - 5
tRCD - 5
tRP - 5
tRAS - 16
CR - 2T

Help Please :confused:

Now running at 1:1, and it seems to be working fine after 3+ hrs of Prime95 In-place LARGE FFT test... can I tweak the timings now, if so to what?
