Mythos - Zone 3 released! Crafting, new areas, PvP, new race! Open Beta soon!!

Just got the newsletter in my inbox, Zone 3 should be out now, so check it out. It offers PvP, a new race (Cyclops), crafting, a new mail system, new areas, new monsters, more quests!

The best news is for people who don't yet have a key to Mythos, this email says that if the release of Zone 3 goes great, they are going to make it Open Beta so *everyone* can finally play!!

Friggen finnaly ive been waiting for the open beta for like ever!!!

mythos is just... WOW!

I HAD an account, back when they only put a test server up every other week or something like that. Feels like forever ago. Hows the game now? It felt like the closest thing we'll ever get to diablo 3 back when I played it.

It has improved 100x since then. Even Closer to being Diablo 3 IMO. Yes not the same story, and ALOT of new improvements.

I heard that current beta key holders could invite friends...
Anyone has an invite they could hook me up with? I'd like to give it a try if it comes even close to Diablo III...

As soon as zone 3 was released and the web site was updated ( www.mythos.com ) they killed everyone's invites. So no more invites, just have to wait for open beta to start.

I got in the beta a month ago but played the game for like 10 minutes and uninstalled. I probably have a key or two lying around. I'll check when I get home - but may have deleted the email.

I played it for a few hours when I first got in about 2 months ago, it was fun at first but when I ran my first dungeon I was shocked that you needed to either have a huge amount of potions on you to begin with, or you have to wait 5 minutes after every mob kill to regain your health. Sadly pot drops were extremely low. I logged out in that dungeon and haven't come back, until now.. I'll see how it's like

That's weird, I've been playing it for a few months now too and the game seems to always give me an ample supply of pots... I never really have to buy them from the stores.

Anyone got an account they no longer use? You can change the password at the website and PM me the info. I need one for a buddy.

What the... is this the same Mythos that I was in a beta for back in Septemberish?? When I tried it then, I only played for half a second.. seemed too cartoony... game didn't seem that fun..

I didn't like it b/c it just seemed all too familiar, like TQ and Diablo but not much else was done to set it apart from those other games. The graphics weren't even all that great on 1920x1200 everything at max AA and AF and all that stuff. It just didn't have the right feel to it. Not any really good reasons but reason enough for me to not enjoy it as much as i could

first time i hear of this game, will it be free to get?

I wasn't a fan. I didn't like diablo but I thought I would give it a shot. Its like an MMO diablo and I couildn't get into it.

Played it for a few weeks and then other things (school mainly) took over my life so I passed my key on to someone else here on the forum. No I am wishing I hadnt because I want to try it and see how things have changed. Liked it back then but seemed more like a button masher of a game then actual Diablo-esque, however that is based on only getting a guy to about lvl 10

I got the newsletter the other day or the day before, it simply said that if this Zone 3 beta goes well, then Open Beta should start soon =/ My guess 2 weeks to a month
