Although I went the way of the 8800GTS which has an amazing OC GPU (G92), I am starting to doubt.
If you look at the prices the GTX becomes in reach next to the GTS and I am (see my sig) looking on a 1920x1200 Eizo monitor.
Even an Overclocked XFX 8800GTS (678 Picture below and 820/1117 XFX 8800GTS) can not match up at high- res when at 1900x1200 for instance or AA turned on.

XFX 8800GTS 512MB (G92) Alpha Dog Edition Review vs GTX (G80)
All of these specifications may sound great until it becomes apparent that the 8800GTS 512MB is saddled with the same 256-bit memory interface as many lower-priced cards. While the difference between it and a 512-bit interface may not be noticed at lower resolutions, the 256-bit interface will cause some bottlenecking at higher resolutions or when higher instances of AA and AF are enabled. Just how much of a performance hit this will cause will be seen in our tests.

the 256-bit memory interface take its toll and because of this the 8800GTX is able to walk all over the 8800GTS 512MB in some tests.

Crysis sees a massive performance improvement at 1600x1200 resolution without AA enabled but everything still falls to pieces once again when AA is enabled. I actually had to test the results achieved without AA turned on over and over again because I couldnt believe my eyes

While all these results are pretty impressive, those of you hoping for a $400 GTX-killer are going to have to wait a bit longer.
The XFX 8800GTS 512MB Alpha Dog lags quite far behind the GTX when AA is turned on at higher resolutions and even suffers in some games when AA isnt on at all.

The GTX (G80) is a bad OC GPU but with the 512-bit interface makes up at highres.

Even against the 9800GTX at highres the 8800GTX seems to keep being master of it's domain.
