Looks like this one is dead now :(

Double post...but what the heck.

3dMark06 w/ e6300 @ 3060 MHZ 9600 GT SLI 13,150

w/ e6850 @ 3.6 Ghz 9600 GT SLI 15,550

SuperPi 1M e6300 3.0 ghz = 18.5 sec.
e6850 3.6 ghz = 14.4 sec.

Much better gains than expected. This CPU really solved a dilemma for me. I wanted to go e8400, but my mobo doesn't support it well. I didn't want to upgrade it just for e8400.

And this was 100 bucks cheaper. Completely awesome. Very happy!!!!

e6850 is @ The egg for 179.99 now. When I was looking at it, it was 279.99.

Knowing what I know now, i'd pay the 179 for it if I had to. Great CPU.

Nice job. You could probably squeeze at least another 100mhz out of it easily, if not more. I have one running at 3.6 at stock volts IIRC.

Well, it posted at 3.95 GHz... I was so surprised to see that number on the boot screen, I actually thought I was going to make it into Windows! But of course I didn't. :p

3.8 ghz got me to the Windows logo, then blue screen.

3.6 Ghz was pretty much effortless, so I'm sure with some tweaking I can get a bit more juice out of it.

Man, this CPU is nice. :)

Damn and I bought an E2180 for $93+tax from a local store yesterday. I didn't want to wait on shipping :(

Ah well I guess it's just a good reason to wait until the price drops on some of the 45nm later this year.

wow fast shipping just recieved mine today , 108.24 total , way to go dell!!

my current rig is an e2200 oc'ed to 3.3 ghz on a 975x mobo

should I upgrade to this since it was such a sweet price or sell it and go for an e7200 or higher , im not currently interested in 4 core cpus as of yet ?

big thanx to op

i used to have mine running at 4ghz on water now its at like 3.7 cuz ambient is higher.

God these ebayers are annoying. Anyways seems like lots of effort for very little outcome. I guess it would be at the low end of ok I guess if you didn't have a job.

Michael Dell started out selling computers and parts out of his college dorm room.

He has a job now.

Dang... My order sat in processing for a few days and now Dell finally canceled it due to a pricing error (no kidding). Oh well.

Ok, I didn't think about college students trying to make extra cash. I forgot how it was back then. I totally remember now LOL. Do your hustle students =) to the rest of you, shame

By the way I am working as a software engineer and earning 65k a year, so yes I do have a decent enough job. But the fun in selling something is delightful.
