8800GS to 4850?

How big is a jump if I upgrade my 8800GS to a 4850? I use to have a X1900GT and upgrading to a 8800GS was like day night my 3Dmark06 score went from 4800 to 12000!
 
It will be a very big jump from that 8800GS, more if you're at a higher resolution.

The 4800s are not known for high benchmarks, but they game much much better in modern games at high resolution. What would you be playing on this? This ultimately determines if it'll be worth it.
 
its a big jump, but I am thinking that we are going to see some more price drops here soon, Nvidia has cut a lot of prices and AMD is starting to.
 
I get like 25FPS on the Crysis benchmark with everything high on 1680 x 1050.
