HTC Android-powered Dream in Pics

Engadget has some photos of the Android-powered HTC Dream in action. Branded by T-Mobile, the photos confirm a lot of rumors such as the design spied in the FCC docs, T-Mobile’s support of the phone, and what Android looks like. Check it out if you’re curious.

I personally would rather get a Touch Pro and flash it with Android.

there is some andriod activity for HTC devices at forum.xda-developers.com. However it is akin to running it like a VM since it requires WMo.

yeah, I have it running on my Tilt right now. It's just a beta ported release that boots through a linux VM. It freezes quite often and most of the features don't work. But it's really awesome and smooth as hell when it works, lol.

Who compared it to the iPhone?

It's huge, with way too many big buttons on the front and a jumbo-sized slide-out bricktastic keyboard. That's ugly.

Using that logic, compare the HTC to the iPhone, and then compare the Samsung Instinct to the iPhone.
iPhone competitors CAN be designed well, it's just most people (HTC in this case) too freaking lazy to design it halfways decent.

Reason I mentioned the Iphone is because everyone seems to compare new phones to it, at least from a looks point of view. I apoligze if I assumed wrong.

I realize it's big but for what it's capable of I don't mind the size.

Would look much better if the sliding screen was more flush to the menu button and the bottom half wasn't rounded on top. It looks too.. seperated.

The Android is cool but I'd really rather have an HTC Shift... it's just a little too pricey.

Android is great (Just interested how it turns out in the end...)
It's just the phones that ship with it (right now this is the only one) suck right now. I still think it will be next year before we see anything decent.
