I hope the cooler included isn't the one pictured. I had a Gigabyte Rev.1 8800 GT with this cooler on and it ran in the 90's under load.

Considering the 9600GT runs about 20 degrees cooler than the 8800GT shouldnt be an issue.

9600GT = very hot, pricewise.
I worry that it will get too hot without any sinks on that ram, though. That zalman cooler on it is solid, though. Better than stock.

Ya. What do you mean here? 20 degrees difference in celsius is even a greater difference than if it were fahrenheit .

I picked up the 9600GT. I like the overclocking software. Stock clocks are 650 core, 1800 memory, 1625 shader @ 1.1v. In about half an hour I got it stable at 800 core, 2200 memory, 2025 shader @ 1.27v. Temps get into the low 60's gaming.

Yeah, as long as I get the rebate from Gigabyte, I'll be happy. You can adjust the voltage from the default of 1.1v up to 1.4v, but for the life of me I can't get the core clock stable above 800. I guess I shouldn't be complaining though, I got a nice overclock out of it as is.
