you guys think this will replace your nec 20wgx2's
uses the same panel as the lp2475

but with a 5 ms repsonse time

Yeah, I've got the right lighting conditions in my room so that the reflection doesn't annoy me at all. I owned a TN matte screen before my 20WMGX2 and the colors seemed incredibly dull on it. Maybe it was the finish or panel type, dunno... but I'm trying to avoid both TNs and matte screens now.

I prefer glossy myself and i did the same thing ironicly. I like what it does to the colors makes them deeper(?). I would like to get ahold of a 20wmgx2 or 20wmgx2 myself but i finally setteled with the l227wtg-pf it was next in line i'm married so can't afford anything better. surprisingly this panel isn't that dull once h-ips hits 3 ms i'll spend a grand are more on it but untill then i'll wait I like high refresh rates and i play at higher than 60 hz and i like to overdrive the pixels abit so this is what works for me. I was looking at the hazro 24 inch but it isn't in the us. Don't wont to order form over the pond because of backlight issues are if there is a problem even worse so.... Wouldn't want to sell yours would ya.... ??? lol

It seems it may be another non-North American release, of yet another well priced IPS unit. I have only found it for sale in Asia at the moment.

It seems to use the same display as the problem ridden HP LP2475W. Am I safe to assume it'll have the same problems?

Nope. Different internals may provide different results. The uniformity and other panel related issues may still be present though.
