So I wrote up a review for the ATCS 840, HERE

Finally came up with a name for my new case, but you can't edit titles fail =[. Anyways, WC parts have been ordered! Here's the list of parts :)

CPU Block: Swiftech GTZ
Radiator: Swiftech MCR320
Pump: Swiftech MCP355 with XPSC Reservoir Top
Tubing: Duralene 1/2"ID x 3/4" OD
Fittings: Bitspower G1/4" to 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD Compression Fittings
Fans: 3x Medium Yate Loons on the MCR320, 2x Scythe S-Flex Fans, one on the mobo exhaust, one on the bottom exhaust vent
Fan Controller: Silver Scythe Kaze 5.25 Bay Fan Controller

Came to a total of about 370ish shipped.

Initial plans:
Well after being inspired by other projects I've seen browsing around (omg PromethusCU, holy jesus) I've got the itch to really get down and dirty to modding. Let me know what you guys think of these ideas...

Sleeving of all cables with this kind of sleeving. I intially was going to use the Chrome sleeving, but thought it was a bit too shiny. And it's also way expensive =[ Already broke after buying my WC setup :(

Initially I was going to cut a plain old window, but decided it would look really tacky and out of place. So instead, I'm going to carve this into the side panel, my mom is a Chinese calligraphy artist, so if forum members need Chinese lettering in calligraphy style, let me know ;), and then layer some plexiglass/acrylic over it.

love-calligraphy.jpg

Then probably light it up using a white cathode or a red cathode. Still undecided on color for this either.

The front panel that hides the front intake fan I was thinking of cutting some sort of design into that as well. Either my name, or a small Love in english and my name, or just love, sorta like MurderMod. Light it up using a matching color that is on the side panel using an LED of some sort.

Silver/chrome painting of rads. Maybe repainting the HDD mounts. Still not sure if I want a whole silver look or a contrast of black and silver/chrome. Opinions?

Building some sort of bottom/top paneling/box between mobo tray and bottom of case. Right now (I'll get pictures up soon). You can see all the ugly wiring and mis-matched colors. But doing so might kill the airflow from the front 230mm fan. Any opinions?

PSU, I don't like how there's no over-lay support bar or anything to hold it down like the P182, only the 4 screws in the back hold it.

WC Gear from Sidewinder's finally shipped! Hopefully will arrive next week =[

The cables are still a mess I know :( Still trying to figure out how to best hide them.

Update!

Alot of pictures in the following post. :)

A surprise in the mail on Saturday ;)

Onto testing! Note in this picture I show what I meant in a post about how the XSPC reservoir doesn't work well with compression fittings. To fix this, I ordered a bitspower 45 adapter that should be coming in in about 2-3 days. You see how the compression fitting is just slightly covering the res top.

Whole setup, you can see I have it powered with an HDD adapter which is QUITE handy to have to test supplies without ghetto rigging a PSU.

Leak testing so far looks great, but I'll need to redo some of the tubing as I've decided to move my pump location from originally in the 5.25 bays to the bottom 120mm fan mount area using one of these things!

Description for said products:

From the designer himself, http://www.undesignsbrackets.com/products.html
Code:
Description:
Have you ever wanted to mount your DDC or D4/D5 in your case but couldn't find a suitable place? With the New Z-Bracket you can mount the (UN)Designs 3G or Absolute brackets wherever there is a 120mm fan. This could open up a whole new way of mounting your pump. The Z-Bracket is compatible with any (UN)Designs brackets including the older revisions.

Features:
• Allows airflow over the Pump to help reduce heat
• Allows multiple mounting locations that would not normally be accessible
• Fits 120mm fans
• Can be used with any (UN)Designs Brackets, old or new
• Comes with fans screws too!

Code:
Description:
Now you can mount your DDC and D4/D5 pump wherever you want too! With the 3G bracket the only limit is your imagination. This bracket will allow you to mount your pumps in a horizontal or vertical position. This bracket is especially good for the Reservoir style tops with the DDC pumps. By having the pump swivel around the bracket, you can help eliminate kinks in the tubing which allows for more possibilities for pump mounting. Simple to install, comes with all the hardware to mount your pump. (Requires use of the stock rubber grommets for the DDC pumps).
Features:
• Application: Laing DDC pump (aka Swiftech MCP350/MCP355), Danger Den DDC and DDC 3.2, Laing D4/D5 pump (aka Swiftech MCP650/MCP655(-B), Danger Den D4/D5 Vario and Basic, D-Tek D4/D5 Vario and Basic
• Swivel Bracket allows the pump to be mounted in almost any direction
• Helps to reduce vibration
• Extra mounting holes allow for height adjustment
• Sleek bracket design improves the overall look of the pump
• Powder Coated Black Finish

Waiting for those to come in from Petra's, my bitspower adapter to come in from Sidewinder and I'm still waiting for the Silver Killcoils by iandh to be in stock at Petras =[

And big shout out to Sidewinder Computers and Petra's Tech Shop for making all this possible with fast shipping, great prices, and great CS :)

Looking good so far! Lots of leg shots. If you are a girl, nice legs, if not...stop shaving! :D

I'm college swimmer :) Everyone does it though I think its a mind game. Though the few times that I've lost by 0.001 and didn't shave....yea...its quite a mind fuck

I can vouch for those brackets. I'm using them in my game rig. They work VERY well... different pump though:

A quick picture of the inside of my 5.25 bay :) I like how Cooler Master left tiny slots in the upper corners so I can redirect the Scythe Fan Controller power cables to the back and not have a huge mess
3099019951_16195da546_b.jpg

Now I'm just waiting on my Bitspower 45 degree fitting to come in so I can unscrew the res fill port without having to remove the whole compression fitting and tube. And I'm debating whether to get a Bitspower 90 degree angle fitting for the pump outlet as the current setup puts a bit of extra stress on the tube. And of course I'm waiting on a dremel sale and after Xmas to get cable sleeving. God how I wish Cooler Master designed the ATCS to have a seperate bottom bay to hide unsightly wires. Now I have to think of a way to build one myself :p

soulesschild, looks great.

Quick question, did you have to add any extra o-rings to your compression fittings for your GTZ? Mine began to leak terribly with my Feser fittings and people at XS were recommending to add a second ring or remove the stock o-ring on the fitting.

Totally want that ATCS 840. I'm waiting for Amazon to get another shipment on the black version. Seems to be a very popular chassis this Christmas.

soulesschild, fantastic job.

Can you take more pics of the rad mounting? clearance on sides, front, and back? interested to see how much room is left on that bracket. the Swiftech radiator seems to be thinner than most, and their fan spacing is odd compared to others, wondering if that made a big problem. Also would be interesting to see how far into the drive bays the radiator inlet/outlet is.

Fantastic job. keep the updates coming.
