Ordered a 4830 at Newegg.. odd pricing change.

I ordered an HD4830 from Newegg a few hours ago for $89.99. CLICKY. The price when I ordered it was $89.99. Now it's $128.99 with no difference at all. They just increased its price by $40. I got a good deal, but still find it pretty odd. I literally clicked Submit Order a few hours ago, and for fun decided to check up on it again. BAM, $40 increase.


NOTE: They charged me the appropriate amount when I ordered. Almost as if they checked my order and thought "Wow, $89.99. Lets bump that up a little."

I know Newegg changes prices occasionally but I didn't think it was that fast.
 
Probably lots of people buying and then their dynamic pricing system kicked in. <shrugs>
 
same card I ordered for same price you did, about 2 weeks ago...now if only my computer didn't die

I ordered the same one this morning and it was $94.99, so from the time I first noticed it this past weekend, to the time I ordered it the price only went up $5
 
sorta related but not really, when i bought Wanted on blu-ray from amazon.com it was26.99, but it had not shipped yet and already dropped to 16.99 and i asked them if they could price adjust it. and they said they would make a 1 time exception because the movie hadnt shipped yet. its not thier normal policy to such things.

sorta the opposite of what you saw tho :eek:
