Go ahead and post your 4890 overclocks. Let's see how high we can get!!!!!

To be eligible, you need to either post a GPU-Z or a CCC screen shot of your clocks.

Here is mine so far, still testing with a ASUS EAH4890:

Some posted clocks:

Exeodus - 990 core - 1115 mem
DeadSkull - 1003 core - 1174 mem
Mega2 - 925 core - 1100 mem
Krayzie135 - 940 core - 1100 mem
Mad1 - 940 core - 1125 mem
silent-circuit - 910 core - 1100 mem
rocketr2 - 1003 core - 1174 mem
dccmadams - 900 core - 1100 mem

Will try to make post a little nicer this weekend. Thanks for the posts guys.

is that on the stock cooling?

Now that your adjusted it try a benchmark with those settings to see if it is stable and to see how it performs.

Fast.

Fast.

It did pass 3DMark06 with crashes or artifacts. I will do some more testing tomorrow to insure stability. It is also still running stock voltage.

I get one Wednesday, one Thursday (thank ewiz.com and their "1 per customer" bullshit). I'll be watching, and joining in once I'm able.

Yea just one card. I compared my results to nvidia gtx 280/285/295 from this thread

specifically these

ENTHUSIAST 2X @ Map: ambush @ 0 1680 x 1050 AA 0xx
4870 1GB Framerate [ Min: 18.66 Max: 32.17 Avg: 27.45 ]
2x4870GB Framerate [ Min: 16.01 Max: 45.93 Avg: 27.42 ]
GTX 280OC Framerate [ Min: 25.07 Max: 42.78 Avg: 35.27 ]
GTX 285 Framerate [ Min: 25.59 Max: 43.60 Avg: 36.01 ]
GTX 295 Framerate [ Min: 13.40 Max: 60.92 Avg: 47.98 ]
2xGTX280n Framerate [ Min: 23.41 Max: 71.92 Avg: 55.80 ]
2xGTX280i Framerate [ Min: 18.53 Max: 71.55 Avg: 54.96 ]

and these

DirectX 9.0c ENTHUSIAST 2X @ Map: ambush @ 0 1680 x 1050 AA 4xx
GTX 280OC (670/1458/2484) Framerate [ Min: 19.09 Max: 35.23 Avg: 26.29 ]

GTX 285 (666/1512/2484) Framerate [ Min: 19.00 Max: 34.65 Avg: 26.49 ]
GTX 285OC (738/1584/2808) Framerate [ Min: 21.14 Max: 38.94 Avg: 29.27 ]

GTX 295 (576/1242/1998) Framerate [ Min: 3.86 Max: 49.85 Avg: 36.75 ]
GTX 295OC (666/1458/2376) Framerate [ Min: 5.90 Max: 57.95 Avg: 42.03 ]

and HD 4890 once overclocked is no slouch and can even stand up to OC'ed GTX 285.

i think i got a shitty card, cant get above 940 on the core before it starts artifacting and stuff

i should really update my sig rig, its not in that one...haha. E8400, 8GB Ram, 650watt corsair psu, P5K Asus mobo.

my ambiant temps are low and have awesome airflow through my case

Dude, congrats to you DeadSkull on the 1gig breakaway without volt mod or aftermarket cooling. Kudos. Ye, I hope the rumor that they are going to make a 4890+(or something) addition with the Qimonda GDDR5 chips that can reach 1250mhz (5000). Would be stacked.

that is not a shitty overclock bro, 940 is pretty good on stock voltage, I can bench at 980 but 940 is where the stability is, I tried increasing voltage with rivatuner and the voltage plug in for riva tuner but my system restarts as soon as I run any 3d ap, I have an xfx card may be there is a lock in bios on voltage control or something, might have to flash it to asus bios once that becomes available with compatible ati flash tool.

I'm jealous of all your clocks guys.

I'm gonna be patient and wait for the 4890x2's that supposedly will have 4GB before getting in ATI. My 8800GTX can hold right now.

Post some screen shots of the temperatures under full load.

I needed to apply a 0.02V boost to stabilize such high core / memory speeds runing at the same time.

My 500watt 80+% efficiency psu gave out when doing 940\1120 at load on my powercolour 4890. So I run it at 925\1100.

...then you need a new PSU, cause even at that OC you're running it far too close to the edge. The goal is 60-70% of capacity at full load.... not 90+%.

Are you sure it didn't overheat?

I'd like to see some extended temps under full load.

Try Furmark and measure the temps over an hour or so.
Post screen shots.

I'm pretty sure. I got the temp monitor and a killawatt monitor. The system restarts once it goes over the psu limit.

yeah even my corsair 550w gives out with my 940@ 3.4ghz and 8800GT@ 760/1890/1015 both at full load.. so id expect the 500 not to be able to handle the 4890.. time for an upgrade.. :p

Anybody with an Asus 4890 OC theirs yet?
I'm wondering if the voltage tweak in it allows that much better overclocking results to warrant the price difference.

My HIS is at 940 core and 1125 mem and dead stable. First try. Furmark ran for 15 min at 2x mssa......78 degrees about 38 percent fan speed. Seems high enough for me. But maybe I'll test it and see what it'll do.

I'm at work now. I'll post GPU-Z later.

I'd like to add to this thread and post we hit the 1GHz mark (at bottom) with an ASUS card, but had to overvolt slightly using their program.

I look forward to seeing how high we can get other cards and looking forward to see what kind of overclocks you guys get.

Nice challenge.. is there anyway we can get a score board on the 1st post? its going to be hard to read through all these posts to see who is the fastest.

GPUz / CCC Validation isn't much.. its just a Suicide Screenie.. Any way we can validate stability? Maybe have it like 3DMark (badword) stable? Or crysis or something?

Just a thought.

It's cool that this card can go fast but could guys post some screen shots of temps under full load. Post more benchmarks to see the stability of these speeds.

More useful for somebody who wants to buy a video card for gaming.
