This is an interesting development.
Pre-loading already started, it launches next week. "America's Army 3", as they are calling it, seems to be a whole lot like the earlier games in the series - just running on the UE3 engine.
Still "free", too (as in, you can't buy it, but you pay for it every couple weeks with ur tax dollars ). I like the idea of integration with Steamworks, though. The community and friends overlays working in-game, to keep in touch with your mates playing other titles...heck, even Achievements are in.
(Oh, and I'll take VAC any day over Punkbuster for actually doing a halfway decent jobs of keeping the h@x at bay)
