Eizo announced the relase of FlexScan SX2462W, which should be 24" IPS monitor. FlexScan is not the top line, so the price should not be exorbitant as with the ColourEdge monitors.

Of course the monitor is a wide gamut one, but on the other side it is a positive move, until now Eizo used IPS panels only on smaller and very expensive models. Maybe they finally recognized, that customers know Samsung PVA panels are not as good as IPS? Or Eizo and Samsung are no longer the best friends under the sun?

Edit: Does anybody which IPS panel is in?

Looks like its being released in Japan only.

Its really depressing to read articles about new non-TN monitors and/or non-TN panel tech only to find its only being released in <insert_location_that_is_anywhere_but_North_America_here>. I'm seeing it more and more often nowadays.

Don't worry, Eizo usually releases its monitors in (at?) all major markets.
