wanting to get 2x 4890 to run in crossfire
is my psu big enough to run it all?

Yeah, your Toughpower 750 is a very good PSU with up to 60A on the +12v rail. No sweat running 2 x 4890s in Xfire.

thanks for the help :)

2x 4890's should be sweet tho
cos tossin up between that and a 295gtx

got a 24" monitor btw

All I've played on my Xfired 4890s is HawX. It handles 1920x1080 with no problem.

2x 4890s on a HX620 would be cable mess.

Zero82z, ever find out if corsair did indeed offer 2 PCIE plugs on one cable?

You can get the modular cables with two PCI-E connectors on each by contacting Corsair's tech support (assuming they still offer them, but they probably do).

Depends on the rest of the system. The answer is yes for most cases, but for an i7 system a larger unit would be recommended.

Well i've got an i7 920 at 4ghz @ 1.2875 volts, 3x2gb, and 2 hdds. I have one 4890, but may crossfire in the future and just wanting to plan ahead. However, if I have to get a new psu, i probably will skip xfire.

The HX620 is enough for 4890 CF with your system.

The Corsair HX620 is very powerful. 620Watts with 50A on the +12V is very good. There are 700 Watt PSU with only 50A on the +12V.

Heh, we have at work 3 x IBM Thinkcenter M50 computers running a P4 3.2ghz cpu, 4 x DIMM(3GB total) Ram, 2 x HDD, 2 x Optical Drives, 1 x floppy drive and an Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 video card all running on a low powered Hipro 230 watt psu with 13A on the +12V rail.
