Awesome Computer Birthday Cake

Even though this is a Mac themed birthday cake, it is still pretty awesome.

by the looks of the mac cake, im guessing the price was probably somewhere in the thousands, with no real taste benefits.

for me it's not the company exactly. Because they are a business out to make money...their angle is capitalizing on trends and marketing toward such. If they can sell a product to someone who is uninformed enough to purchase it...more power to them

I think the hate comes from the mac fanboys and mac community moreso than the company itself. These people are in a world of their own. I mean half this forum are most likely windows fanboys...but are far less obnoxious (if at all) than mac fanboys.

its sort of the thing of did you ever talk in length with some linux users. As much as that OS has going for it talking to some of them makes you want to smash your head off a desk for a few hours...

There is value in the hardware. Macbooks have way higher residual value 5 years from now than any laptop you can buy.

It looks too amateurish to be a Duff and co.'s cake.

But it's not bad for an amateur. Nice details on the wallpaper.

hmm

I think it comes from the Cadillac mentality.

Nowadays you can buy a near identically equipped Windows/Intel laptop - processor speed, hard drive, screen size, and video card, for thousands less.

Its like buying a Chevy instead of the Caddy, as in most cases it has the less shiny exterior, but its the same car under the sheet metal.

The OS differences between the Mac and the Windows, does that really equal thousands of dollars in price premium?

To most users, that do not do very specific items the Mac is better at than Win/Intel, no it is not worth the price premium.

Awsome cake, wondered if it was apple flavored.
