Internet Addiction Center Opens in US

Just great, they are opening an internet addiction center in the U.S. now. Can you even classify the internet as an addiction? What kind of moron gets up at 3am every day and plops his ass down in front of the damn internet for 12 or more hours a day anyhow? Well, I mean…you know…besides me.

The center, called ReSTART, is somewhat ironically located near Redmond, headquarters of Microsoft and a world center of the computer industry. It opened in July and for $14,000 offers a 45-day program intended to help people wean themselves from pathological computer use, which can include obsessive use of video games, texting, Facebook, eBay, Twitter and any other time-killers brought courtesy of technology.

So when are you going to pay for my [H] addiction?

I got an easier way...Get rid of all the addictive people and reduce world population once and for all...two problems solved, at once. But they can't do that because it would break their business. Just another way of make money. No they do not care about the addicted. But their money.

This was covered last week on the Seattle PI. Compare the video still frame with a screen capture I took in Arakkoa Forest in World of Warcraft.

Really bright people must work at the center for internet addition. Missing something like that is huge.

Hell, I play enough WoW that it might be nice to spend a day in that little hut. I wonder if they will let me stay there as a character from WoW?

I just hope that the people who bring me food aren't wearing red robes and look like birds. That might be bad.

What a stupid concept. I should open a center like this and then have a ton of gaming systems in the basement or locked away, when the parents leave... game on. Kids will be happy and I'll be happy because I make a shit ton of money.

Since I'm at work, I played the first video without sounds. So going by only what I watched, but not hear, this is how I interpreted it:

The girl went from playing WoW on the computer to playing WoW IRL. She's in Stranglethorn Vale and she took up the mining profession. She's shoveling for Saronite ore.
