IBM to Launch LotusLive iNotes Monday, Challenges Google
IBM is taking on Google in the cloud-computing based hosted business email service with LotusLive iNotes, which will be offered beginning Monday. Software as a service is a popular option for companies that want to rent, instead of buy, software and Google has been a big player in that area.

I wonder if they designed the interface out of the 1990's?

Maybe: IBM to Launch LotusLive iNotes Monday, tries desperately to prove that this time, they reeeally promise that they've learned their lesson regarding PC software. Unlike OS/2, Lotus AmiPro and Lotus Smart Suite, this time they've got a handle on how to market. No..... really....... we mean it!

There's absolutely zero chance Google could make an app that sucked a tenth as badly as bloated XXXXXX does, so IBM is perfectly safe from competition.

Likewise, google is safe from IBM since their customers aren't the sort who make enterprise IT decisions based on a $100k powerpoint razzle dazzle to a group of clueless level PHBs who won't be affected in how it is implemented.
