Coolest Picture of the Day

This is by far the coolest picture of the night sky you will see all day. The photographer traveled a distance of 26,000 miles over a period of 22 months to make this picture. Whoa.

sooo, 648 Megapixels? Why does the only image I see worse than all of those CMB pics I've already seen? Come on dude, at least give us a 4 or 5 MP image.

We REGULARLY post / repost stuff that was posted over the weekend that we think our weekday readers might like. Most people that read the site do so mid-day during the week. By that time, on any given day, the news from the previous day is pushed off the front page.

I guess I'll go back to stating the obvious "this is a repost from this weekend..." to eliminate the confusion.

I can see new people not getting it but I need to just go back to posting "For those of you that missed this over the weekend..." and eliminate all the "/thread fail" posts. It's my fault, I get lax sometimes thinking people just "get it."
