Given it is Via, I will believe it doesn't suck when I actually see performance metrics Proving it.

So when will we start seeing these used in any devices? In 2013?

But can it do a good 1080i deinterlace/film mode detection?
I'm sick of these "oohhhh we can do 1080p" So.The.Fuck.What. So they put a H.264 decoder on the die. Done. Here's a ribbon. Give me a video processor on a GPU or CPU that doesn't choke on the malformed 1080i and 480i crap cable and broadcast operators put on the air with theri buggy ass encoders and I'll consider it. So far it hasn't happened.

Wasn't it Via that Steve and Kyle were excited about a couple years ago? I recall reading an article about some low end processors playing crysis (in the lab or something) and things were looking up, but then what happened? Am I imagining things, or does anybody else remember that?
