What Bing Does Best
Live Science says that Bing is the fastest growing search engine among the top ten and, while it may have a way to go before beating Google, it does do some things better than everyone else.

Yea.. its growing by constantly taking over my browsers as the preferred search provider nearly every day. Most of the time I dont have time to change it back.. and just use Bing. It still sucks as a search engine.

know why?
a. they hijacked alot of homepages in IE on almost all machines i support b. they went from making ie8 optional to "forced critical update" leading to an increase in bing users c. alot of MS pages now redirect to bing when this happened tons of clients would call asking wtf happened to their homepage

One can say anything one wants about anything, but it doesn't really change empirical facts now, does it?

B. As of today on all the work computers here in the office IE8 is still listed as an optional update. Built a new one today in fact and it is listed as optional for Windows XP. C. Yeah what's your point? Google pages point to Google so why should MS not point to Bing? Who cares what engine you use as long as it gets you to where you need to go anyways?

I use Bing at home, and Google at work (because for some reason my work blocks bing)

Bing's Maps Absolutely SLAY Google!
Google's maps may have "street view", but the "Birdseye View" that bing has is VERY clear. To up the ante, the birds eye view allows you to get all 4 sides of the building or area, so if you are looking for a house, you can see the detail view of ALL 4 sides of the house! Bing's maps also seem to be updated a lot more frequently.

If you are any kind of developer, or work in the IT field at all, Bing DEVASTATES Google for modern, relevant coding advice.
I don't have a clue if it's because the search algorithm is better, or Bing just has a much "younger" database compared to Google (comparatively saddled with tons of results from early on in the internet...relative to Bing, anyway), but when looking for code snippets or advice on how to implement a function you've not tried before? Bing is FAR superior to Google. After years on Google, I'd totally tried it on a whim when I couldn't find something there, and of the top 10 pages, 6 of them had exactly what I needed - which wasn't even in the top 100 on Google.

When you grow from 1% to 2% of the market that's like 100% growth. It's like my friends from Albania telling me how great their economy is - because it was growing fast.

Here's a good synopsis of the article:
"Leslie’s takeaway: Use Google for research. Use Bing for images, videos, shopping, travel and gossip. It’s a site to visit every day if only for the tidbits on the homepage."
