Thinking of using Psystar's Rebel EFI software? You might want to read this first.

I don't like MacOS X personally, but some of my Mac using friends have been using the iDeneb releases for a while now without much issue, provided they buy the right hardware ahead of time. Let the buyer beware...

Kind of goes without saying that using hardware (or even just BIOS options) that has never been used in a Mac isn't going to work very well. Even with the right hardware, you still need to have it configured correctly.
I have a bit of experience with hackintoshing and I don't think this Rebel-EFI is much more than a bunch of the same tools thrown onto a bootable CD with a nicer GUI. Psystar could put 10x the effort into it and it would still be newb-unfriendly. It might be a nice tool for those who know what they're doing but that's about it.

I guess they will stop at nothing to fully emulate Apple. Next up, the owner gets a transplant and a new sweater.

I can't believe I'm going to say this considering how much I despise Apple's smugness, ridiculous pricing, and their intransigence towards letting OS X be installed on hardware not blessed personally by Steve Jobs. PyStar obviously tries to solve the last two; However, the legitimacy of their business was highly questionable from the start and their entire business model was based on selling a product that Apple believes violates the OS X licensing agreement and undercuts Apple's own products. These guys remind me of BlueBeat as they're clearly trying to make a quick buck buy offering a product who's legitimacy is clearly questionable and worrying about the consequences later. Because of this, it doesn't really surprise me that PyStar would act in such a manner.
As such the following axioms still apply: 1.) If it's too good to be true, it probably is. 2.) You get what you pay for.

The shady customer service fits perfectly with their shady business practice, shady laptop cloning, and shady OS development departments.

Well, I guess they aren't so cute after all. I recall a lot of posts here laughing at Apple and cheering Psystar on.
Meanwhile, Apple leads the industry every year in customer satisfaction. Perhaps there is something to actually paying for something, to the guys who created it.

Apple consistently gets the top customer satisfaction ratings in the industry. I can excuse your ignorance, as "good" Apple news never seems to make the front page here.
