Update Fixes IPhone Sync Problem With Windows 7

For those of you running Windows 7 on a PC with a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD4P motherboard and you can’t sync with your iPhone, a new beta BIOS update might be just what you need.

On Friday, a few people posted on the forum that they'd downloaded the new BIOS from Gigabyte, a motherboard maker, and it solved the problem. In the description of the update, Gigabyte calls it a Beta BIOS and says that it fixes the iPhone sync issue, among other enhancements.

I've been unable to sync my BlackBerry Storm with the BlackBerry desktop software since upgrading to this board. Everything is working perfectly now. Obviously there was more wrong with the USB settings in the earlier bios revisions than even Gigabyte was aware. If you are having trouble with your BlackBerry I'd give this new bios a try.

Blame Apple! Who else? :P

Ummm, perhaps it's just me, but why should a problem with the BIOS be causing an issue with a specific USB device? Or is the BIOS update supposed to fix a flaw in the motherboard/chipset/drivers?
