E-Mail of the Day…the Steve Jobs Edition

What do you say when an angry iPhone app developer writes you a long e-mail complaining of an issue they have with Apple? If you are Steve Jobs, you write this:

Yeah, he says "Not that big a deal" but of course it's not a big deal because it isn't HIS product. When it's your own product that you feel is known after years of it being out it is a big deal to one day have somebody tell you to change it.

agreed. what an ass steve jobs truly is, and has been. he and apple suck ass.

In response, The Little App Factory changed the name of their software to iRip, avoiding any potential legal issues with Apple.

That's a pretty damn effective email.

Can't Microsoft just set aside a team to make shinier PCs, sleeker MP3 players, while hiring a few celebrities to plug how amazing cool the product lines will make you? Apple's deserved a slew of bitch slaps for a long time now.

As someone who also has limited time in his day, I can understand the short reply. It is hard to read any further into it as the meaning behind it can be taken both ways. Is it really that big of a deal to change the name?

I don't see anything wrong with what Jobbo the Hutt said. I would think iPhone is a trademarked name...
